안녕 Annyeong (casual hello) !

I am a content creator on Tiktok and Instagram who is confident in making ‘ㄹ’ and ‘ㅡ’ Korean pronunciations sound easy.

I call myself the Bad Korean Teacher. Why? I speak my mind and teach in ways textbooks do not especially when pronouncing Korean (no respectable establishment would dare try). I’m also not an official teacher. Just a guy who decided to turn on his phone and hit record.

But as a Korean American who survived working for Korean companies, speak Korean regularly with my parents, and got a perfect 800 on SAT II (ancient times I know), I am very confident in helping you speak both Korean language as well as culture. Teaching Korean my way. Since Korean is vastly different yet at times similar to English, I bring my unique Korean American (교포 Gyopo) perspective to teach Korean.

My Korean lessons here are strictly for conversational speaking and pronunciation practice. We will touch upon reading and grammar but that is not the focus of my teaching. My primary goal is to create a safe space so that you have the freedom to sound out Korean words without worrying about being judged or saying something wrong.

Make mistakes with me and be bad at Korean (at first of course😊). Your anxiety and self-consciousness, while understandable, is only getting in the way. I help transmute that negative energy into a productive force to make Korean learning practical and fun.
